Lead form ad (lead ad)
A lead form ad is a Facebook or Instagram ad format where users submit their contact info via a form that opens inside the ad itself, without leaving the platform. For final expense, native lead form ads convert at 1.5x to 3x the rate of landing page redirects in 2026.
When a user taps the CTA on a lead form ad, a pre-filled form opens with their name, email, and phone number from their Facebook profile. They tap submit twice and the lead lands in your CRM or ad account.
For FE specifically, lead forms outperform external landing-page redirects by a wide margin because the senior demographic has high mobile drop-off when forced to load an external page. Lead forms remove that friction entirely.
Lead form data quality is sometimes lower than landing-page data because the form is too easy to submit accidentally. Mitigation: use a "higher intent" form template (the option that adds a confirmation review step), and add 1-2 qualifying questions inside the form.
