Partner access (in Meta Business Manager)

Partner access is granted via Business Manager > Settings > Partners > Add. The agent enters the partner's Business Manager ID and selects which assets and what permission level (advertiser, analyst, admin) to share.

Partner access can be revoked in two clicks. The partner cannot transfer ownership of any asset. They cannot lock you out. The relationship is one-way and reversible.

Anyone asking for your personal Facebook password or for you to add them as a personal Business Manager admin (instead of as a partner) is doing it wrong. Decline and ask for partner access instead.

To grant partner access step by step: go to business.facebook.com, open Business Settings via the gear icon, click Partners in the left menu under Users, then click Add and choose "Give a partner access to your assets". Enter the partner Business Manager ID, pick the assets you want to share (usually the ad account and the Page), set the permission level, and click Save.

For an agency running your ads, Advertiser access on the ad account is enough to build and manage campaigns. Admin access on the ad account is only needed if they must handle billing or add other people. Never share Admin on the Business Manager itself, which is a different and much broader thing.

To revoke it: same Partners screen, click the partner, then Remove. Access ends immediately and every campaign, lead and pixel event stays in your account. Nothing follows them out the door.

If the partner request never arrives, the usual cause is a typo in the Business Manager ID, or the partner sending the request from a personal profile rather than from their own Business Manager.
